Jason Thorn, 24, was arrested on Feb. 4 and charged with the murder of a Wildwood man after fleeing to Pennsylvania.

Joshua Palumbo, 31, was found with a single gunshot wound to the neck in his residence at 145 East Spicer Ave. by Wildwood Police Officers on the afternoon of Feb. 2. The Prosecutor's Office said the murder took place some time on Feb. 1.

Palumbo was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy was performed by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Wildwood Police Chief Steven Long said in a release that detectives from the both agencies went to Pennsylvania and sought assistance from the Darby Township Police Department, Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit, Tinicum Township Police Department and U.S. Marshal's Service in searching for the suspect.
Thorn was apprehended in a Tinicum Township residence and sent to George Hill Correctional Facility in Delaware County pending extradition.

If found guilty of first-degree murder, Thorn faces 30 years to life in state prison.
