Funeral services for Anthony Kenye Arterberry Jr., 21, of Overton, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Spring Chapel CME Church, Arp with Rev. Byron Jackson and Rev. Billy Mattlock officiating. Burial will be held at Ashbury Cemetery, Arp under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in Henderson.

Anthony passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He was born in Rusk County, Henderson, to Anthony Arterberry Sr. and Sheila Ardry Jones on June 5, 1988. He attended Arp High School and the Spring Chapel CME Church.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Rosie and Lois Brager; his grandmother, Pearlie Arterberry; two grandfathers, Glynn Ardry and Eddie Chester and his precious god son, Kelynn Pinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories with mother, Sheila Ardry Jones/Shayla K. Fernandez; his father and stepmother, Anthony and Regina Arterberry; his grandfather, Richard Arterberry Sr. of Oakland, Calif.; grandparents, Leona and Jeff Woodard of Nashville, Tenn.; his brother, Christopher Arterberry; two sisters, Khadija, Andrica Arterberry of Lancaster; two stepsisters, Chantelle Bivens, also of Lancaster and Raven Roberson of Overton; aunts and uncles, Linda and Burl Franklin of Whitehouse, Carla Renee Arterberry and Peanut of Mesquite, Lucille and Samantha Arterberry of Oakland, Calif., Richard and Shirley Brager of Arlington, Fleeta Brager and Carl Dennis of Overton, Quinda of Tyler and Christie Mumphry of Lancaster.

In special rememberance, Debbie Ardry Berry of Tyler, Deanna Miller of Chapel Hill, Darla Ardry of Tyler, Randall and Karen Avery of Overton, Rosie, Sara, Josh, Brent, Heather, Nina, Slade, Lynn, Jessica, Marcus, Trina, Nesha, Jaimesia, Tionna, Lateria, Brandon, Trey, Tanisha and Tamisha, Leann, Kadavion, Kadarsha and Aleah.

In loving memory of my friends, Lauren, Ashley, Christa, Amber, Rachel, Jamie, Coco, Gail, Chandra, Net, Quintte and Alta and a host of relatives and friends. God children, Kiauna and La-Kayla.
