Neighbors of Bryan Davis, who was shot to death in his home early Sunday, erected a shrine consisting of lighted candles and small teddy bears on the front porch of his house in the 1600 block of Thompson Street in the Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pa.

Sixty-eight minutes after Davis was killed, a 30-year-old person was shot in Block Alley, less than a mile away. That victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead shortly after 5 a.m.

City police said they were actively investigating the homicides and had no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 717-255-3131.

The two separate fatal shootings mark the city's 15th and 16th homicides of 2009, bringing the year's total to six more than in 2008. The city also has had several nonfatal shootings.
