The brother-in-law of a motorist killed in a crash in East Sussex has said his death was "a great shock to everybody".
Tony Croft, 25, from Crowborough, died alongside his 16-year-old rear seat passenger, Joe Grunwell, when his car was in collision with a tipper lorry.
Two other male passengers were seriously hurt in the crash on the A26 at Heron's Ghyll on Saturday afternoon.
David Spender said the family of Mr Croft thanked "everyone for their kind messages of sympathy".
The 63-year-old driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Dozens of the victims' friends visited the crash scene on Sunday to pay their respects and lay floral tributes.
Tributes were also left at the skatepark in Crowborough where the driver used to skate.
The road remained closed for more than seven hours following the collision while investigators examined the scene.

I never met Joe but Tony helped with fundraising for the skate park in his town and others in the south east, including the one here which i was also apart of. He is all about getting kids outside and active. He was a total sweetie, a real charmer and died taking some kids to a hockey match, such a loss. I hadn't spoken too him in a couple of years but i hear he was doing what he done best, teaching kids at crowborough sports center.
r.i.p Joe and Tony
