SHELBY - Ms. Megan "Baby Girl" Nicole Sanders, 18, of 1616 Chatfield Road, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Carolina Medical Center, from injuries sustain in an automobile accident.

She was born on April 23, 1991, in Cleveland County, to Ashley Blanton Sanders and Grady Philip Sanders. She was a student at Cleveland Community College. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, where she formerly active in GA's. She enjoyed music, playing softball and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Ashley Blanton Sanders and her father, Grady P. Sanders of Shelby; her brothers, William Lee Sanders, Philip Coleman Sanders and James Marshall Cole; her sister, Leah Christine Cole of Shelby; grandmothers, Carol Frances Watson of Shelby and Patricia Goins of Boiling Springs; grandfather, Richard Coleman Blanton and wife, Linda, of Cherryville; great-grandmother, Mildred S. Blanton of Shelby; and her very special friend, Thomas Rivera of Cherryville.

Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the funeral home.
