Van Schardein went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008.
Service: 1 p.m. Friday in Blessing Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home.
Van was a very bright, cheerful and giving young man. He attended Mansfield High School, enjoyed music, working out and helping others. Van will be very much missed by many friends and family members.
Survivors: His mother, Cherry Schardein and her husband, Fred Zarkout; father, Patrick Workman and wife, Tyanne; siblings, Lili, Michael, William, Tyler and Ben; and grandparents, Ron and Pat Workman, Gloria Berry and Bobby and Joan Leach.
