A 27-year-old Baldwin Park woman died at a hospital Tuesday night, four days after a shooting in Fontana that killed a man.

Francine Yessenia Figueroa was pronounced dead at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, coroner's officials said.

Fontana police were called at 4 a.m. Friday on a report of shots fired in the 16500 block of Barbee Street, where they found Figueroa and 29-year-old Anthony Duarte in the front seat of a black Nissan Maxima parked on the street.

Each had a single gunshot wound to the head, said Fontana police Sgt. Jeff Decker.

"The person had to have been in the car with them," Decker said. "They probably knew who it was, but they could have been carjacked."

Duarte, of El Monte, died at the scene.

No suspects have been identified.
