San Jose police today identified a motorcyclist who died in a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning.

Randy Alexander Hammack, 20, of Sunnyvale was riding north on Lawrence Expressway just south of Steven Creek Boulevard. The motorcycle struck the center guardrail, throwing Hammack into the center lane.

There, Hammack was apparently hit by another vehicle in a collision reported at 5:20 a.m.
