A Bronx teenager was fatally shot in his Soundview building Friday, police said.

Emergency responders found 18-year-old Rasheed Ashley bleeding in a stairwell on the 13th floor of the Lafayette Estates about 4:40 p.m.

He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m.

The neighbor who found him said Ashley had been shot four times in the face, arm, side and leg.

"I heard a big bang and I went into the stairwell," she said. "He was in a pool of blood. I started calling for help. He was in bad shape....You don't wish that on anybody's child."

"He's a nice, caring brother," said the victim's 14-year-old sister, Iesha. "He's into basketball and didn't hurt anybody. We don't know what happened."

Another young man was seen running from the stairwell. No one was immediately arrested.
