Pacific Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the murder of 33 year-old Derek Bellman.
On Thursday, September 4, 2003, at about 6:30 a.m., the victim was found dead by his roommate in his apartment in the 400 block of Venice Way in the Venice area of Los Angeles. Preliminary investigation revealed the cause of death appears to be blunt force trauma to the head.
There are no suspect(s) in custody. The motive is unknown.
